What’s New at DJ Roodz: Summer 2016
Hey everyone! I’m straying away from the usual blog post this week to share a few quick updates. My summer internship is nearly finished, and I’m about to get ready to be a full time student again (you can read about my school/DJ balancing act here.). But, things are on the up and there’s a lot to come in the near future.
- I recently got a great deal on two Behringer controllers, the CMD-DC1 and CMD-DV1. I’ll be reviewing and unboxing them as soon as they get here! I’m a ~little~ more than excited.
- The media section of DJRoodz.com has undergone a full revamp – we’ve got video now, people! I interviewed with Fiesta En La 8 earlier this summer, and a full recap of the night is on its way. So, in the meantime, check out the interview here.
- After finally having some time to myself, I turned my DJ Bag inside out. I found some really…interesting things in there that I didn’t mention in my “What’s in My Bag?” write-up. Before Part II comes out, be sure to leave a comment here letting me know what cool things you take to gigs.
And now for the big reveal! Drum roll please….
My first original track is complete! After a few weeks in front of Ableton I managed to create an interesting Pop/House vocal mashup. Expect an official release next week on my Soundcloud, as well as “10 Things I Learned During my First Ableton Project!”
