About
Christian Roodal has been an active member of the NYC music scene since 2011. As a DJ first, remixer second, he exemplifies the open format nature that comes with the art of DJing and turntablism. He spins multiple electronic and dance genres, while incorporating hip-hop, rap, reggae, dancehall, soca, and Motown flavors for a truly eclectic experience.
On the production side, Roodz is a remix artist, using his live performances as an opportunity to showcase self-made mashups and remixes. His Ed Sheeran remix with Black Ivan has accumulated over 5,000 SoundCloud plays, and was showcased on SMASHTHECLUB and EDMNATIONS. Roodz’s notable DJ appearances include opening and headline slots at Webster Hall in NYC’s East Village, as well as the historic Pacha NYC basement in Hell’s Kitchen. Currently, Roodz is a resident DJ throughout Rockland County, NY, as well as at Flattopps In Astoria, Queens.
Roodz is an accomplished blogger who uses his platform not only to showcase his work, but also to explore DJ culture in the 21st century. He has since interviewed DJ Puffy, 2016 Red Bull Thre3style World Champion; and DJ Trayze, multiple-time Thre3style USA champion.
